I lovedddd the pork ribs! They are way better than the beef ribs. I didn't care for the BBQ chicken. I loved the beans, potato salad, cole slaw, and cornbread. They have wine (small individual bottles of cheap wine like you get on a plane, no bottles) and beer. If you are splitting with 1 other person, I highly recommend getting the full rack of pork ribs. It comes with 2 small sides and cornbread. It's plenty of food for 2 people, and DELICIOUS.

I contemplated buying some ribs at the grocery store, but threw them back as I figured I would be eating ribs until the end of time since I'm the only carnivore in my household. So for a quick meat fix, I always order and enjoy the rib tips. Nice size, not super messy and just the perfect amount for a few meals. -Order online feature is a plus. - Estimated time to arrive for order given Satisifies the meat craving I get from time to time. Rib tips accompanied by a side of their red garlic mashed potatoes.... Sign me up...

This would be 5 stars if the service wasn't so bad! Food was actually really good when we got it. We went on a Wednesday afternoon around 2 so it was pretty quiet. Our food took so long that 3 people had to leave around 3 and it theirs to go. 1/2 of the table was served then and after 10 minutes we had to go inquire about the rest of our food. Only a few of the kids got their cookie so we had to ask for that. I didn't care about it but once they saw one kid eating theirs if course they wanted it. Salad was yummy and the beans were great but way too spicy for the kids plates. Sauce was good, fries were great. My husband had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious. Can't imagine coming here during a mad rush though.

It's been a long downhill slide for Famous Daves. Used to come here frequently for lunch, but not so much since they got rid of the lunch specials. I just paid $12.79 for a chopped pork sandwich, fries and a soda. This place used to be packed at lunch and is now about 1/4 full at 12:30. For some reason they moved all the ketchup and all but 2 of the bbq sauces over to a shelf in the middle of the dining area. Not too handy.

Wow! What happened here? My friend and I have been going here for years and have a long tradition of ALWAYS having Dave's on Valentines Day. Always. Years. My friend ordered ribs and such and I ordered the BBQ salad. I ordered chicken on the side (vegetarian) and french fries. Within minutes she got hers and I got nothing. At 25 minutes and trying to grab someones attention I literally reached out and stopped someone who was avoiding my gaze. I asked about my meal and complained that my friend who was waiting for my meal to arrive now had cold food. She went for answers. When she returned she told up that my BBQ'd chicken was holding things up because it takes so long to grill it. We pointed out, and yet they delivered my friends order now more than a half hour ago. We asked for the manager. There was a lot of discussions and avoiding eye contact and eventually the manager on duty was notified and yet, she continued with what she was doing. Meanwhile the staff person ordered another serving for my friend and FOR ME (leading me to believe it was never ordered at all). Within minutes the new rib meal came out and then the manager came by and while courteous, attempted to tell us that they are busy and my chicken held everything up, but apologized for bringing out friend's meal too soon. As she was speaking to us, out came the (eh) salad with (really) Bacon Bits on it! The chicken was clearly pulled and at most a half a cup. It was not hot in any fashion. There is no WAY that held up a crappy lettuce salad. The fries were lukewarm and not seasoned. So sad about that. We always have to discuss that Dave;s french fries are by and large the best in the Twin Cities. Not tonight! Those wonderful, delicious corn muffins? No more. Now it's corn bread. It was warm at best, and soft. No crunchy, thick, sweet, muffin top. It was not good. I was so sad. The plates are different, the coleslaw is different. The sauces are no longer on every table. There are children toys now...we both wondered what happened here? Where was the wonderful food and service? Still owned by the same Dave? Is this a franchise issue? Have to say we probably won;t go back to figure this out.

Bbq chain. Good standard fair BBQ. A bit pricey for portion. Works if you need a bbq fix. Location is convenient.

Absolutely will order again. I had a birthday party for 100 guess and thought the catering prices were too much and didn't offer a lot of variety. So I ordered 14 of the all American feast. The GM gave me a discount and set the food up buffet style. I was very thankful already but when I saw all the put together I was ecstatic. They provided me with serving utensils, napkins, bottles of barbecue sauce and ketchup, packets of honey, hot sauce, butter, plates, anf silverware. Literally all I had to do was set it up how I wanted it. I am so thankful because everything else was so stressful it was nice to have everything I needed for the food provided, especially since I didn't order from the catering menu! Thank you Dottie and your staff for being so amazing!

Great ribs, nice beer selection, but of course once you've been to one Famous Dave's you've been to them all. Best of all for me are the ribs - just the right balance of moist and dry. Excellent, every time. Good parking available at this location.

Real nice folks, good chicken - and extremely FORGETTABLE ribs. Why would you get these when you could get actual, real delicious ribs at Rudolph's or the Market BBQ? Dave's has excellent chicken, good cole slaw and fries. But the ribs? Ummm....,snoreville if you ask me!

I've had it with the subpar sides. It's Ted's and Rack Shack for me.

Like to meet a friend here for dinner a few times a year. Management is always excellent and very attentive. Food is good and I really enjoy their catfish and ribs. Like the decorating inside and the warm feeling.

We picked up a Navajo code talker USMC veteran at the airport. He was from Arizona and he and his daughter wanted BBQ. This Famous Dave's is close to the airport so we went there. The restaurant was very dimly lit, and perhaps a bit gloomy. The food was good and plentiful, however, and the service adequate. If you are in the mood for BBQ and you want consistency and a reasonable price for a lot of food, a Famous Dave's is as good a choice as any.

3.5 stars. I'm starting this review by saying that their ribs aren't their strong point. They're pretty good, not great... but that's OK- they have many other items that easily make up for it. The beef brisket, catfish fingers, pulled pork sandwiches and yes- burgers- are all delicious. The sides are also yummy: best cornbread I've ever had, the "Wilbur" baked beans with chunks of pork are rich and savory , and the Firecracker green beans are all highly recommended. It's a fun atmosphere and they have a decent beer selection. All in all, I've never had a meal here that wasn't really good.

Very nice place for a quick bite when we're craving BBQ. We like the pulled pork sandwich & the grilled chicken. Biggest fan of the corn muffins. I could have just them for dinner, (or lunch or breakfast....or anytime!) Service tends to be good with few exceptions (maybe we caught them on a bad day. Parking is plentiful. Right off the St Paul 54 bus line, actually a stop right there!

It's fun to eat at Famous Dave's. I really like the pulled pork sandwiches. But all of the barbecue stuff is good and it has such a sweet flavor. They have a great choice of sides. My particular favorites are the green beans with bacon, the Wilbur beans and the cornbread muffins. It's someplace that we definately will return to again and again.

It's a chain BBQ restaurant. Nothing to fancy just good ole fashion BBQ. The brisket is just ok but I used to be spoiled by awesome brisket in Texas. The pulled pork is good and the side are ok. Overall a decent place if your in the mood for BBQ. I've had much better in the south but there aren't many options around here so this will have to do.

This place is pretty good, I'm not a BBQ connoisseur, but 2 dollars for half a pound of delicious meat and delicious bean dips. Worth it. Tasty. I inhaled it all!!

So, one thing that I can't stand about California is the lack of great BBQ. Sure, we have Tri-Tip, gods gift to man in the form of Cow ass...(and no state does it better..oh santa maria spices how I love thee) But never mind that! We can't find ribs, baby back, beef, pork, nibs, pulled pork, etc etc. We have it in Cali, but it normally conjures a resounding "meh" from me. Now, I'm not saying Dave's is the end all to BBQ, but when I'm in the Stillwater area, it can't really be beat... They have an ok selection of beer and a sampler platter of meats to feed 3 Minnesota Viking line backers (hey folks, i made a Minnesota joke). Should I of said, Oh Dave's has the best gum ribs round here don't cha know.
